For iPhones: Place your Poptagg Sticker on the bottom of your phone. If you place it at the top, it will set off your phone's reader constantly.

For most Androids: Place your Poptagg Sticker on the bottom as well.

For Galaxies/Notes: Place your Poptagg Sticker at the top of your phone next to your camera.

Poptagg Sticker doesn't communicate to the phone it is on, it communicates to the phone it is sharing info to.

Poptagg Sticker sticks nicely to all case materials except leather and some silicone. For these types of cases, we recommend either sticking your Poptagg Sticker underneath your case (yes Poptagg works through most cases!😎) or buying a Poptagg Keychain instead.

Yes! Poptagg will work through 99.9% of phone cases, including ones that hold credit cards. The only exception would be if your case has a layer of metal.

Almost all iPhones, the iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, SE 2 and all future iPhones are compatible with Poptagg Products.

NOTE: iPhone X, 8, 8+, 7, 7+, XS, XS Max Must UPDATE to iOS 14!
If you own one this devices above follow these steps on how to use To Use NFC Tag Reader:

Step 1: Go to 'Settings'

Step 2: Now tap on ‘Control Centre'

 

Step 3: Scroll down and find the ‘NFC tag reader’ under the ‘More Controls’ section.

 

Step 4: Once found, tap on the ‘+’ to add it to your control center. 

 

 

Step 5: Exit the Settings app. Now launch the Control Centre and tap on the NFC tag reader icon.

 

Step 6: Now simply hold your device on your Poptagg Product and it should automatically pop.

iPhones as old as the iPhone 5S and almost all Androids can use their camera to scan your Poptagg QR code.

Poptagg QR code can be found by tapping the QR code button from your poptagg app's dashboard or on you Poptagg card.

Troubleshooting ⚙️

1. Make sure their phone is on the list of Compatible Devices.
The phone model you have does not matter when sharing!

2. Make sure to touch your Poptagg to the very top of the back of their phone.
On iPhones, the sweet spot for reading a NFC is on the very top of the back of the device.

3. Poptagg CANNOT be read when:
- their phone is in airplane mode
- their device flashlight is on
- their phone screen is off
- their camera is open

3. Turn on NFC capabilities in their phone settings
If their phone is on the compatible devices list and is still not reading your Poptagg Sticker or Card, go to their phone settings and search for NFC. Make sure that "NFC" is turned on!

If your Poptagg Sticker is setting off your own phone, move it to the bottom of your iPhone or Android!

For Galaxies/Notes, it is actually better to place at the top by the camera.

Make sure and try a placement that doesn't trigger your phone's NFC reader before you place your Sticker.
